Finish the Lesson, Then Submit Your Tribute
Follow the tutorial's current prompts, then meet the displayed tribute objective by collecting items, loading Barry's cart, and pulling its lever to submit them. The 2,500 objective described for the first real shift comes after the tutorial; use the target currently displayed in your game.
From Tutorial Prompts to a Completed Quota
- Complete the interaction requested by your current tutorial prompt. Let the next displayed instruction guide your next action, rather than skipping ahead to the tribute target.
- Read the displayed quota when the tutorial ends. The first real shift is where the launch-week 2,500 tribute objective applies, and the active goal takes priority because quotas now scale with lobby size.
- Collect tribute from nearby accessible rooms. Prioritize items you can bring back safely, keeping your route short while you learn the surrounding area.
- Return to Barry with your collected items. Use the Sketch-A-Map to locate the cart and understand the space around you if you lose track of the return route.
- Place the items you want to offer as tribute inside Barry's cart. In co-op, let your teammates finish loading their items before anyone sends the cart away.
- Pull Barry's lever to submit the loaded tribute. Check the quota indicator afterward; if the target is still unmet, make another collection and delivery trip.
- Head through the exit hatch once you have met the quota. It opens automatically when the requirement is fulfilled, allowing you to leave the completed shift.
Understand What Counts Toward the Target
Treat the displayed quota as your tribute goal for the current shift. Collecting an item and submitting it are separate actions: bring your haul to Barry, load the cart, and use the lever before checking your progress. Finish that submission before deciding whether you need another trip.
Useful equipment can also be offered as tribute, so consider what you still need before loading the cart. Keeping a survival tool may help you bring back the rest of your haul safely. Items you no longer need can contribute toward the quota instead.
Play Coins do not count toward the tribute quota. They are spent on items at the Doohickey Den in the main hub, so collecting coins does not replace delivering tribute to Barry.
Keep a Route Back to Barry
The factory changes between runs, so a memorized corridor route will not reliably guide you through later shifts. Use recognizable landmarks and available navigation tools as you explore. Glowsticks can mark important turns and help you retrace your path to Barry.
Players receive the Sketch-A-Map at the start of a new game. Its minimap shows your surroundings, teammates, and Barry's location. Check it before extending a loot trip so you can keep the return journey manageable.
Check Quota Progress and Report a Blocked Lesson
A very small deposit can display 0%: deposits worth less than 1% use that label. Check the overall quota indicator after submitting your tribute rather than judging the whole delivery from a small deposit's rounded percentage.
Report a tutorial that remains blocked through the official BetaHub bug board.
Include the exact objective text, your last completed interaction, and what happens when you attempt the next action. A screenshot of the prompt and quota display can help explain where progress stopped.
