Unlock CraftyCorn by playing Limón
To unlock CraftyCorn in Escape from Playtime, find Limón and play it using the TV cart. Keep the required item for that interaction instead of depositing it with Barry as tribute.
What you need before using the TV cart
CraftyCorn is a progression character in the released Early Access game. The required item is Limón, also written as Limon or Lemon. Finding it gives you what you need for the TV cart objective, so keep it available while you continue the run.
The unlock depends on using the required item at the TV cart. An ordinary tribute deposit, collecting an unrelated VHS tape, or owning a cosmetic does not complete that objective. Focus on the named item and its play interaction when working toward CraftyCorn.
Find Limón and complete the TV cart interaction
- Search for Limón while completing shifts to find the item required for CraftyCorn's unlock.
- Keep Limón available for the character objective so you can use it at the TV cart.
- Bring Limón to the TV cart to prepare for the required play interaction.
- Use the TV cart's play interaction with Limón to complete the unlock objective and grant CraftyCorn to every player in the lobby.
- Check character selection for default CraftyCorn to confirm that the character has become available.
Search later shifts without following a fixed route
Limón appears more frequently during Shift 7, and its spawn rate increases with each subsequent shift. That gives you a useful reason to keep searching as you progress, but it does not guarantee a Shift 7 appearance. Treat the increased frequency as a search opportunity rather than a scheduled reward.
The factory layout changes between runs, so a room or route from someone else's successful search is not a guaranteed destination in yours. Search the layout you actually have instead of trying to reproduce another player's turns. A late Limón discovery also does not establish a required shift for finding it.
Use the Sketch-A-Map to orient yourself, locate teammates, and keep track of Barry while exploring. Agree on which nearby areas each teammate will search, and share discoveries so you avoid repeatedly checking the same rooms. Keep the search manageable alongside the shift's main objective.
Check the interaction if CraftyCorn stays locked
If CraftyCorn is still unavailable, review which item you found, which cart you used, and whether you completed the play interaction. Putting an item into Barry does not satisfy the TV cart objective. Watching an unrelated tape also does not demonstrate that you completed the required Limón interaction.
Check the default character in character selection before checking an alternate appearance. The Founders Pack's Shining CraftyCorn variant requires default CraftyCorn to be unlocked first. Owning the pack does not replace the Limón objective.
CraftyCorn unlock questions
- Can all teammates unlock CraftyCorn from the same Limón interaction?
- Yes. Completing CraftyCorn's unlock method grants the character to every player in the lobby. Work together on finding Limón and completing the TV cart interaction; each teammate does not need a separate interaction.
- Does the lobby reward cover an interaction completed before the change?
- The lobby-wide reward applies when the unlock condition is met under the updated rule. The change does not promise retroactive rewards for sessions completed before it, so check your own character selection rather than assuming an earlier teammate's unlock also granted yours.
