Use the Emote Wheel

Select an emote from the Emote Wheel to make your Critter perform an animation. Emotes including Yes, Waving, No, Sleeping, and Dance have visual and sound effects.

02

Choose an emote and check that it played

Check your current in-game control settings for the emote binding. Choose a safe moment to try the wheel. If you want feedback on the expression you selected, ask a teammate to watch.

  1. Open the Emote Wheel using your emote control.
  2. Select the emote you want from the wheel, such as Yes, Waving, No, Sleeping, or Dance.
  3. Watch for the selected character animation and its visual and sound effects to tell that the emote played.
03

Recognize the named emotes

The Halloween emotes are Hackle Cat, Scaredy Cat, and Claws Out. These have visual and sound effects, alongside Yes, Waving, No, Sleeping, Dance, and Miss Delight. The Founders Pack includes the Miss Delight player emote, which lets your Critter mimic the Playcare teacher.

04

Keep team messages clear

You do not need a microphone to play, though voice chat helps players communicate. Proximity chat makes teammates harder to hear as the distance between you increases. For coordination, agree on what you mean by a gesture and use voice chat when you need to explain more.
