Which codes and rewards can you use?
To claim the Midnight CatNap cosmetic in Escape from Playtime, use the individual, single-use code supplied with an eligible Midnight CatNap plush purchase. Medal's code-based quest reward is currently out of stock, while the Project: Playtime Hoodie and Founders Pack use separate reward routes.

Before redeeming your Midnight CatNap code
Have the individual code from your eligible plush purchase ready. The code is delivered separately by email within one to five business days. Choose the account you want to receive the cosmetic before confirming, because each code can be redeemed only once on one account.
Let your profile finish loading before opening the redemption menu. Follow the route below for the Midnight CatNap skin, and copy your own supplied code carefully. Keep your order details and code email handy if you need to review the purchase.
How to redeem the Midnight CatNap code
- Launch Escape from Playtime on Steam and wait for your profile to finish loading.
- Open Settings after your profile has loaded.
- Select Extras, then click Redeem Code to open the code entry option.
- Enter the individual Midnight CatNap code exactly as received, then confirm redemption to claim the cosmetic.
Claiming rewards that use another route
For the Project: Playtime Hoodie, check the eligibility requirement before trying a code. Players who own Project: Playtime and have played it at least once receive the cosmetic automatically through the Steam Inventory System. The hoodie can be equipped on all 8 Smiling Critters.
The Founders Pack is separate Steam DLC, so use its Steam page to get the pack. Its contents include the Shining Critters Cosmetic Set, the Retro Smiling Critters Arcade Cabinet for the Perm-A-Lounge, and the Miss Delight player emote. The pack is free for the first 30 days after Early Access launch.
If a Founders Pack character variant remains locked, check whether you have unlocked the default character through progression. The KickinChicken, Bubba Bubbaphant, PickyPiggy, and CraftyCorn variants become available after their corresponding default Smiling Critters are unlocked.
What to check when redemption fails
- Compare your entry with the code exactly as it was supplied. Correct any typing mistakes before confirming again.
- Check whether your profile has finished loading. The Midnight CatNap redemption instructions begin with waiting for profile loading to complete.
- Check whether the Midnight CatNap code has already been redeemed. Each code works only once on one account, so a previously used code cannot claim another cosmetic.
- Check your account eligibility and the reward's claim method. The Project: Playtime Hoodie uses ownership and play history, while the Founders Pack is separate Steam DLC.
- If you are waiting for a plush purchase code, check for its separate email. The stated delivery window is one to five business days.
- A Midnight CatNap plush code does not expire. If yours fails, check spelling, loading, eligibility, and previous redemption instead of assuming its age is the problem.
Lobby invitations and old beta codes
Lobby invitation codes let players join a host's lobby. They are unrelated to cosmetic redemption, so use them for joining the group rather than claiming a skin. Ask the host for their invitation when your goal is to play together.
Historical beta access codes belong to the playtest, whose distributed codes do not work on Steam outside its access window. Keep those separate from the permanent Midnight CatNap cosmetic codes. A failed beta access code does not establish that your plush cosmetic code has expired.
